"Moon through my lens: My first Picture lighted by moon"

"Beneath the Gilded Sphere: My Heart's First Yearning for Luna"

Welcome to Cosmos Chronicles.

At night, when we gaze at the dark, invisible space, there is something that always catches our eye—the moon. , its silvery glow lighting up our nights and inspiring countless dreams and stories. It’s that bright, beautiful companion in the night sky we all see almost every day, but have you ever stopped to wonder about the incredible details it hides? I’ve always admired its beauty; I am literally in love with it; that's why I call myself "Wolverine"(The lover of the moon). To explore my love and know it deeply, I decided to grab my camera. I realized just how much more there is to see. As I stood there, trying to capture its glow, I felt a mix of excitement and awe. The details, the textures, and the way it illuminated everything around me were just breathtaking. Join me as I recount that unforgettable night and the wonder of seeing our celestial neighbor through a new lens.

Let's explore the moon's crater.

Starting my astrophotography journey with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ2500 back in 2023 was an experience I’ll never forget. I was in 11th grade, curious and excited, but I had absolutely no idea where to begin. Armed with only a handful of online tutorials—probably two or three—and a whole lot of trial and error, I set out to capture my first photo of the night sky.

It wasn’t easy, and it definitely took some experimenting, but that first shot turned out surprisingly well! I remember the thrill of seeing the image on my screen; it was a small but rewarding achievement. I was so proud of it that I immediately posted it on my Instagram.

Those pictures were the highlight of my early adventures in my astrophotography.

After that, I took a step back to focus on theory and gain experience. I connected with people online and even met some enthusiasts at IISc Bangalore, which significantly boosted my interest and skills. By 2024, I was ready to take my astrophotography to the next level. I set up my tripod and gathered all my gear, spending late nights on the roof, determined to capture stunning images of the moon. And then, boom—it all came together!

                                             2.

After achieving a level of satisfaction with my initial photographic endeavors, I sought to enhance my skills further. I delved into the technique of image stacking, which involves capturing four distinct types of frames: light, bias, dark, and flat. By methodically combining these images, I was able to produce a final result with exceptional clarity and detail. However, I was unable to fully implement this technique and am currently learning how to use it effectively.

My objective was to photograph the Milky Way, a task I found intriguing. However, I soon recognized the necessity for a completely dark sky to fully capture its splendor, and the appropriate conditions were not available at that time. Consequently, I have chosen to postpone this project and plan to pursue it in the future, incorporating a nebula into the composition to enrich the overall image.

In summary, my journey into astrophotography has been both challenging and rewarding. While I faced obstacles in capturing the Milky Way due to the need for optimal conditions, this experience has fueled my determination to improve my skills and deepen my understanding of techniques like image stacking. I look forward to future opportunities to explore the night sky and capture its wonders, including the addition of a nebula in my upcoming projects. Each step in this process brings me closer to realizing my vision as an astrophotographer, and I am excited about what lies ahead.

Be with my blog as I continue this journey and share my experiences along the way!
